About EURAS Journal of Social Sciences (EJOSS)-New Journal of EURAS
EURAS Journal of Social Sciences (EJOSS) is a new open access double blind peer reviewed academic journal published by EURAS (Eurasian Universities Union).
EURAS-Eurasian Universities Union has decided to issue three new academic journals, among them one devoted to social sciences, especially to the fields present in the panels SH1 and SH2 of the ERC classification. We aim at collecting and publishing scientific papers in English concerning Eurasia, its past, its present, its future, and especially the connections between the European and Asian continents. We hope to receive many papers from scholars of the universities members of EURAS but our call is open to all the scholars of all the institutions in the world. Moreover, we will be happy to receive and publish papers from young scholars. Thanks to our international profile, we aim at attaining the highest standards of peer review and quality and at getting national and international accreditations as soon as possible. The works published will be provided with a DOI number. EJOSS will be provided with a dedicated webpage included in the EURAS website.

EJOSS will be published twice a year, both on paper and electronically, and will preferably publish works concerning the following fields:
Economics (Political Economy and Public Economics), Political Science, Social Anthropology, Sociology, International Relations.
Interdisciplinarity and focus on scarcely studied yet important questions will be viewed as a very positive asset. Therefore, we welcome works that can be classified as concerning other human and social sciences such as law and history. However, our journal can have a lesser chance to get accreditation for these fields.
The evaluation of the papers will subject to the following rules and norms:
Authors are invited to submit their papers to [email protected]. The proposed works must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere while being evaluated for this journal. A more detailed Ethical Code is published in the EJOSS webpage.
Steps and timing for the 1st and 2 nd number are as follows:
Deadline for the submission of the papers: 28 February 2021
Deadline for the referees: 31 March 2021
Deadline for the submission of the definitive texts: 15 April 2021
Issue of the 1st number: 1st June 2021
Deadline for the submission of the papers: 31 August 2021
Deadline for the referees: 30 September 2021

Issue of the 2nd number: 1st December 2021
The requested features of the papers are as follows:
The papers must be submitted in word format. Their size must not be under 40,000 characters (spaces included) and not exceed 60,000 characters (spaces included). We plan to publish minimum 5 maximum 7 articles per number.
The font must be TimesNewRoman. The normal text must be 12 sized, the long quotations 11, the footnotes 10. The space between the lines must be 1.5. The first line of the paragraphs must start at 0.3.
The papers must include:
– the name of the author, her/his mail address, her/his professional affiliation, her/his ORCID ID number, her/his telephone number, a 7-8 lines summary and 3-4 keywords. Naturally, the papers will be forwarded to the referees without the personal data.
The papers must not include a separate final bibliography. A short survey of the literature concerning the topic can be included in the main text and/or in the first footnote and/or along the following footnotes.
The authors should be consistent in their use of capitalization and use it for the main elements of the name of an institution: Ottoman Empire, Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, United Nations… but minister of the Foreign Affairs, the situation of the empire etc.
The titles of quoted works must be in italics, the title of periodicals must be in “high brackets”. Words and phrases still regarded as foreign words in English, as well as titles in other languages should be in italics and followed with translation in square parentheses. Transliterations from other alphabets should be provided according to the rules of internationally acknowledged scientific transliteration. Illustrations, tables, maps and figures should be numbered consecutively in the text; captions identifying the source of any image or data should be used. The title of the figures should be below the picture; the title of the tables should be above the table.
